A highlight included being the hand held camera operator for the “Superbowl Shuffle” a legendary video made by the Chicago Bears during the 1985 season.
Johnny then moved onto the land of top 40 radio, in markets fromChampaign,ILMilwaukee,Wisconsinand doing morning drive for KZ93 inPeoria. He then got his hugeChicagobreak being hired WLS AM/FM in 1994. WLS-fm flipped formats and Johnny flipped up the dial to the legendary Loop FM. It was there he worked with luminaries of broadcasting, like Johnny B, Kevin Matthews and Danny Bonaduce.
The sports bug bit Johnny and from a stint at WMVP in 1999 to his current gig with wjjg, it’s been all sports all the time. Also plying his craft at mymvp’s.com a social website devoted to prep athletes he contributes interviews with “Mike Ditka’s player of the week” and much more. Johnny’s love of the NFL is evident in a weekly podcast, “NFL now” that can be heard on itunes. Stay tuned!!!
