After being closed since Jan. 28 for a $250,000 renovation, the Clarendon Hills Public Library will reopen Monday.
“Everything went well,” Library Director Lori Craft said of the completed work. “The main floor is definitely a different look; you can’t help but notice the circulation desk right away.”
The renovation of the building at 7 N. Prospect included new paint and carpeting throughout the library and along with a reconfiguration of the main floor and some new furniture
The new circulation desk is smaller and was moved off to the side of the main floor; it previously was in the middle of that area.
DVDs were moved to the main floor along with new books.
“The idea is to have those popular items right there when people come in,” Craft said.”
